What's your plot to stop the third runway?
So you're a beneficial owner of our plot of land? Fantastic!
But there's more you can do to help our campaign and (just as importantly) have fun with your friends at the same time.
Basically, there are two things we'd like you to do:
Toolkit
Below are all the tips and guidelines you should need to get your group together, come up with your amazing idea, and make sure everyone (especially your MP) hears about it.
For most documents, you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them - you can download it here.
- Getting started
- Step 1: Finding more people like you
- Step 2: Starting your own Airplot group
- Step 3: Tell your MP
- Step 4: Tell your local media
- Step 5: Tell everyone else

Goodies
Here are some things we prepared earlier to jazz up your campaign. If you make anything of your own which you'd like to share, let us know and we'll add it here.
- Badge template - for 25mm diameter badges
- Poster template - advertise your event
- Airplot sign-up cards - recruit more plotters
- Website banners - add them to your Facebook page, blog, or group website
- Airplot logo - make your own stuff!
- Airplot t-shirts - available to buy from designers Airside in asphalt or teal. £2 from each t-shirt will go to Greenpeace.
1. Spread the word to your friends about Airplot. The more support we have, the harder it will be for the third runway to go ahead, so we want you to talk to your co-workers, schoolmates, sports team members, evening class colleagues and fellow hobbyists, and persuade them to support the campaign.
2. Do something astonishing for Airplot and let your MP know
With those people, find creative ways to show your opposition to the third runway - the more bizarre, outlandish and fun they are, the better. Got a group of boardgame players? Play a giant game of planes and ladders. Are you in with a bunch of baking enthusiasts? Rustle up a cake in the shape of a runway strip.
We know you'll have much better ideas than those, but whatever you do, tell your MP about it so they know how you feel about airport expansion and what it means for climate change.
We've produced a toolkit which is packed with ideas, inspiration and 'how to...' guides to help get your weirdly wonderful ideas off the ground. Download the sections you need or the whole lot. There are also some goodies like badge and sticker templates, Airplot graphics and more to come.
Tell us what you've done
Airplotters around the country are putting their plots into action. We'd love to see what you've done, so share your photos, videos and cakes on our Flickr and Facebook groups.

We can't wait to see what you come up with. We can't lend a hand in getting your idea off the ground, but we hope you will find everything here that you need to get started. If there's something missing, let us know and we will try to answer all your questions.
Now it's down to your own ingenuity and creativity to make that idea everyone laughed at in the lunch queue become a reality.
